Over the last two weeks, we’ve been learning about our classmates’ favourite things.
The children in each table group get an opportunity to bring in something to show the class. They then practice and develop their oral language skills by telling the other children all about their chosen item, and why they decided to bring that particular object in above all others. They answer questions posed by the other children, and sometimes we’ve done our own research in class to find out about an object’s origins. We’ve heard stories about awesome cars that can fly, studied hats that originated in Peru and met fluffy toys that are the same age as their owners! We’ve had fantastic speakers and respectful listeners. Thanks to all the boys and girls for their great work.
